Barbara Jean Barnett Nethery, 89, of Shelbyville passed away on December 31, 2025. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She retired from Warren Circuit and District Courts in Bowling Green, Ky. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley E. Nethery, her son, Neil A. Nethery, her brothers, Tommy and Scott Barnett and her sisters, Henrietta Ritter and Charlotte Arington. She is survived by her son, Bradley A. Emily had been the Principal at Northside Elementary School in Shelbyville for the past 6 years. She had been employed with the Shelby County School System for over 25 years. Emily was a natural born teacher that had a close relationship with all of her students. Being the principal at Northside Elementary reinforced her as an educator and team player whose mission was to get kids started in the right direction.
