David Aaron Jones, of Danville, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly, on September 6th, 2022, at the young age of 36, with his loving family by his side. David was born in Somerset, KY, on May 19, 1986, to Jonathan and Connie Burton Jones. In 2012, David graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. His love for sports was evident in every part of his life. David was known as a husband, father, son, brother, colleague, coach, sports fanatic, and friend. Shirley Faye Marcum departed this life August 14, 2022 in Danville at her home in the presence of her family, who loved her dearly. She was the wife and best friend of Alvin Joe Bill Marcum. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage together. Shirley was a member of Saline Baptist Church and now resides in Heaven. Joseph John Gruber passed away with family by his side on June 4, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center, in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born February 11, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from St. George Catholic High School in Chicago in 1948. Joe then began his career in academia attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, finishing his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He completed his Doctorate in 1959.
