Gerald W. Bankes, 90 years old, husband of Jean Kaylor Bankes for 66 years, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was born September 13, 1933, to the late Melroy and Alona Cooper Bankes, in Wilkes Barre, PA. Gerald was a US Navy veteran and was retired from the US Government. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, nine grandchildren and 7great-grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, December 1, at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with visitation from 1:00 until the hour of service.

Ricky Dean Hicks, age 63, of Winchester, formerly of Prestonsburg, KY, passed away on October 13, at his home. He is survived by his three children Shanda Smith, Brandon (Holly) Hicks, and Alyssa Hicks. He also has one granddaughter named Callie Smith. He is also survived by his four siblings, Shirley Mulvaney, Billy (Judy) Hicks, Charles Hicks, and Joey (Kathy) Hicks. The visitation will be Tuesday, October 17, 5-7 pm at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, Winchester, KY, with the funeral on Wednesday, October 18, 12 pm.

Thomas Jackson Voils, 86, passed away 10/5/2023. He was born in Lincoln Co., KY to the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Kinney Voils on 9/11/1937. He was a long time resident of Winchester, retired from Bundy Tubing, and a member of UAW 1937.
