Richard Arthur Happe, 89, recently of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. He was born on November 10, 1936, in Evansville, IN, to the late Marie Veronica (Turpin) Happe and Gilbert Elmer Happe. Little did Dick know that when he started the French horn in 7th grade that it would shape the rest of his life. By senior year at Bosse High School, he was first chair in the orchestra as well as the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, under direction of Minas Christian. Sarah Lynch Hutcheson, 88 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Born on August 8, 1937 in Port Glasgow, Scotland, was a daughter of the late Matthew Henry and Ellen Mary (Miller) Henry. First and foremost, Sarah was a beautiful wee soul. She loved nature and would hug a tree from time to time. There was a couple in our neighborhood of Fort Johnson Estates that had an orange tree, and she loved that they would let her pick oranges from the tree. She would come home as though she had found a treasure. She took joy in the simple things of life. She loved writing letters and receiving them.
