He grew up on Route 1 in Winnsboro, TX, where he graduated from Saltillo High School and worked on his family's dairy farm. He was raised in Mesquite and graduated from North Mesquite High School. Ryne went on to attend Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he earned his teaching degree in history. Prater was born on May 24, 1951 in Dallas to Irma Adele Wynne and Benjamin Prater Monning, Jr. He grew up in Amarillo but spent summers in Wills Point where he learned to ride, fish, and work cattle from an early age. James Larry Poston was born August 20, 1946 in Dallas to Bobbie and Virgil Poston, and lived a full life that celebrated family, service, and loving Jesus.
