He was born on May 21, 1933 on his family farm in Ransom, County, North Dakota to the late Elmer and Mary Hanson. He attended Lohn School which during the time was a grades 1 through 8th a one room school house. He went on to attend high school and graduated from Fort Ransom High. James (Jim) Clyde Brooks, Jr., 78, passed away on August 4th, 2024. Jim was born in Bremerton, Washington on October 21st, 1945 to the late James Clyde (J.C.) Brooks, Sr. and Caroline Radford Brooks while J.C. was serving in the Navy during World War II. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Grady High School.
