Ruth Ann Meiborg, 63, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at her home in Roscoe, Illinois, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She had such a positive outlook and a horrendous desire to beat it. Ruth was born November 25, 1960 to Fay Sr. and Nadine (Biggart) Meiborg in Beloit, Wisconsin. She attended Kinnikinnick and Prairie Hill grade schools and then graduated from Hononegah High School, class of 1979. In her early years she was heavily involved in 4-H. Her mother made sure all of her children were well rounded and could fend for themselves. Shirley Ann (McLean) Dewey, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2024, in Orange Park, FL. She was a longtime resident of Roscoe and upon retirement moved to Orange Park, FL to enjoy the warm weather. She relished her independent living in her home, especially her driving adventures back to Roscoe until age 89 for visits. Then continued to drive around town until shortly before her passing. Many memories were shared growing up in Roscoe with family and friends. She kept busy as treasurer of the woman's club, volunteering and various other groups. Sylvia Dietz, 91, of South Beloit, IL, was born in Janesville, Wisconsin in July 1931 to Ernest and Thelma Grim. Sylvia's brother, Lawrence Grim, a volunteer for the US Army, was killed in World War II and is buried in the Philippines. Sylvia had three sisters, Karen Biggerstaff, Doris Buehl and Betty Schumacher, all of whom predeceased her. Sylvia graduated from Janesville High School in 1950. James R. Stamm, 81, of Rockton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 after a long illness. Jim was born to Raymond and Marjory Stamm on August 25, 1940.
