On the evening of December 1, 2023, the peace of eternal life was granted to Fred after enduring a long battle with the complications of lymphedema. He was 73 years old. Born July 8, 1950 in the small town of Duluth, Minnesota, Fred was the third child born to Rodney and Lois Westlund. A very close family, the Westlund's lived in close proximity to their extended family and spent many happy days at their grandparents' cabin on Little Grand Lake - the place where Fred's deep love of nature began. Eugene Robinson Austin, affectionately known as "Buddy" age 76, passed away in Nags Head November 29, 2023. He served his country proudly and bravely as a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Eugene "Buddy" ministered through music: from eastern North Carolina to Virginia. His musical gifts and organizational skills led Buddy to envision and create the Manteo Male Chorus, the Manteo Community Choir, the Columbia Community Choir, and several other musical collaborations. William Philip "Bill" Tamony Sr., 52, of Buxton, NC, went on to his eternal rest early on Thursday morning, October 26, 2023, following a two-year long battle with cancer. Bill was born on December 22, 1970 in Missouri (or Miz-ur-ah as he said it was pronounced) to Sandra and Joseph Tamony as the fourth and youngest child of their family. As a Navy kid, he lived in multiple cities and states, but finished the majority of his pre-adult years in Goochland County, VA, where he graduated from high school in 1988.
