Joyce Elizabeth Lagerlund was born in Mount Vernon, WA on April 5th, 1940, to Sigurd and Thordys (Rodvelt) Benson. She went to be with the Lord on the evening of December 25th, 2024 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon. Joyce grew up in Burlington and Bow, WA, with her older brother, Jerry (Gerald), and younger sister, Janet. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1958 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Western Washington University in 1962. Victor Allen Monlux Sr., age 78, of Mount Vernon, WA, died peacefully December 23, 2024 in Mount Vernon, WA with his wife of 60 years, Judy, and his daughter Julie by his side. Victor was born August 12, 1946 in Fall City, WA, and spent his childhood in Maloney's Grove in North Bend with his brothers and sister. Larry was born on January 6, 1940, in Mount Vernon, WA. He was the son of Elmer and Ellen Hanson and grew up on the family farm on Beaver Marsh Road with his older brother John and younger sister Dorothy. Antonio "Tony" Ruiz passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at his home in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was born on November 20, 1926, in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico. Tony immigrated to the United States in the mid-to-late 1940s, beginning his journey in Texas. After working a variety of jobs, he met the love of his life, Lala. The couple married on September 3, 1949, in Raymondville, Texas. Together, they traveled with the crops as migrant workers before settling in La Conner, where they raised their family. Joan Vance, a long time resident of the Skagit Valley and also Seattle's Ballard community, died suddenly of natural causes on November 20 in Mount Vernon, Washington. Joan Lily Ruthford was born in Belfast, Washington in January 1930. Joan and her twin brother Jack were welcomed by parents Gest and Ruth Ruthford. She also had an older brother Richard and older sister Margaret. Joan grew up in the Belfast and Hickson communities, graduating from Burlington Edison High School in 1948.
