Lorraine June Sangiacomo, a nurse, matriarch, and founding partner of Sangiacomo Family Vineyards, a third-generation family business in Sonoma, California, died on Tuesday, March 7th. She passed away peacefully at home at the age of 93. An equal partner with her siblings, she participated in all major business decisions for the family business even while working as an operating room nurse at Santa Rosa Hospital from 1953 to 1987. While her brothers worked on the front line, she preferred to work behind the scenes where she quietly oversaw legal and financial matters. He passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 92. Born in Sonoma on August 24, 1930 to Italian immigrants Vittorio and Maria Sangiacomo. Angelo graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1948. Rachael Nivens Cecchetti passed away in her home in Sonoma on Wednesday, November 4th, surrounded by her family. She was 64. Rachael was born in Oakland to Doris Perrone and Richard Nivens. After graduating Skyline High School, she pursued a BA degree in English at Santa Clara University. At SCU, she participated in their international program, coordinated by Loyola Chicago in Rome, Italy. There, she got to know a fellow student from SCU and fell in love. The family lived in Linden, CA where her parents owned a fruit and vegetable farm with her Uncle Tom and Aunt Alice Prato. She grew up with an extended family in the Linden area. Harry Gregory White, age 90, passed away on October 21st in Sonoma, California. A veteran of both WWII and the Korean War, Harry was responsible for electronics and communications on his ships. A lifelong water lover, he was the Atlantic Fleet Swimming Champion and competed in the All Navy Championships in San Diego. He attended Newark College of Engineering, and accepted a job in the Solid State Physics Department at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, N.J.
