Pamela Julia Parsons VanHoy, formerly of Ripley, WV, passed away October 15, 2025 following a short illness. Pamela was a 1991 graduate of Ripley High School and attended Parkersburg Community College. She was a Christian. Pamela enjoyed many things from being an artist to prospecting for gold. Robert "Bob" Carmichael Jr. went to his heavenly home on October 14th, 2025, at Camden Clark Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born August 4th, 1952, in Parkersburg, WV. Born on December 12, 1935, to Dr. Russel Kessel and Pauline Kessel in Charleston, West Virginia, Polly grew up on the West Side of Charleston. She attended Stonewall Jackson High School, where she was a majorette, and graduated in 1953. She went on to attend West Virginia University. While at WVU she was a member and vice president of the Chi Omega sorority and president of Mortar Board. She was a member of several other honorary academic societies and clubs. She was born April 12, 1935, in Wide Mouth, WV, daughter of the late Robert Lee and Nellie B. Davis McKinney. He was a graduate of Ball State University where he played Football, starting on two Raisin Bowl Championship teams, and was inducted into the Delaware County Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
