She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Chicago, and doctorate degree in Philosophy at Catholic University of America, Washington DC. Dorothy taught philosophy at Ancilla and St. Mary's College at Notre Dame. Dorothy later pursued a degree in nursing, and held numerous positions in healthcare to include nursing, healthcare executive administration, pastoral care, and cancer patient research. He was united in marriage to Marie Radunzel, nee Altman, on August 7, 1971. He retired as a Major after 20 years of service in the United States Army. Ron was very proud of his service to his nation.
