Award-winning watercolor artist and teacher Ruth Nienhaus passed away on February 9, 2023, at her home in Tampa, Florida, surrounded by family and her beloved dogs. She was 85 years old. Born in Wenatchee, Washington and raised in Illinois and South Carolina, Mrs. Nienhaus began her art career at the Ringling College of Art and Design and the University of Georgia, where she graduated in 1964.
