STEPHANIDES, Marios Christou 79, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Polis Chrysochous, District of Paphos, Cyprus, first as a British subject and then as a Greek-Cypriot to Christos and Julia Kyriacou Stephanides with the help of a midwife. He came from humble beginnings to America as an 18-year-old college student. Dr. Marios Stephanides received his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. at Wayne State University in Detroit. Thomas Gerard Ward, born on November 19, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on November 12, 2024. Tom was the cherished son of Mary Louise Ward and the late Jack Bogan Ward. Charles E. Cernuda, M.D., 83, passed away on November 3, 2024. A Tampa native and graduate of H. B. Plant High School, he practiced internal medicine and pulmonary disease in Tampa from January 2, 1974, until retiring May 15, 2012. He obtained his B.A. and M.D. degrees from Emory University in Atlanta. He did his internship, residency, and two-year pulmonary disease fellowship at Emory University affiliated hospitals: Grady, Atlanta VA, and Emory hospitals. He spent his career in construction and retired as a project manager at the University of South Florida. Frederick Wiley Vollrath passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in Tampa, Florida at the age of 80. Frederick is survived by his wife, Sharon Morgan Vollrath and his three children: Morgan Wiley (Julia), Derick Roberson (Perla), and Aubrey Eileen (Robb), his granddaughter Olivia, and sister, Jean Nicholas (Lenny).
