Julie Marie (Miller) Cary, 64, of Fort Ashby, died November 15, 2024 at home, with her loving family beside her. Born June 25, 1960 in Cumberland, MD, she is the daughter of Charles Thomas Miller and the late JoAnn Marie (Greenhorn) Miller. In addition to her mother, Julie was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Nield. Mrs. Cary was a graduate of Keyser High School. She then attended Potomac State College, Broadfording Christian College and Oral Roberts University. She had been employed by the Mineral County Board of Education as an Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher. Julie touched the lives of students in New Creek, Burlington, Elk Garden, and Keyser. Nancy Lee Hock, of Baltimore, died September 6, 2024. Her parents Joseph J. Hock, Jr. and Virginia Lee (McComas) Hock, and brother John J. Hock, III preceded her in death. Otto Edward Artfitch, Sr., 79, of Oldtown, died July 8, 2023, at UPMC- Western Maryland. Born May 14, 1944, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Otto Andrew and Irene (Ruddy_ Artfitch. Mr. Artfitch was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He then worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C in the Fingerprint Division. Donald Irven "D I" Martin, 84, of Cumberland, died May 10, 2022 at home. Born December 14, 1937 in Connellsville, PA, he was the son of the late Irving and Molly (Howard) Martin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wyola Jean Martin and a brother, James R. Martin. Mr. Martin had served in the U.S. Army.
