Born November 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Dockery Pentecost. Affie grew up in Pulaski, VA, the daughter of a Pentecostal minister. In 1957, she married Everett Lewis Stump, and the couple settled in Salem, VA. Affie worked for Hecht's Department Store before opening her own shop, Apple Lou's Arts & Crafts, where her creativity and artistic spirit were on full display.
