Rev. Thomas Howard Huffine, age 81, born May 28, 1941, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2022. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at New Midway Baptist Church with funeral service following at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Rod Garrett and Rev. Leland Lyon officiating. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, January 6, 2023 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Moore and Elder Alvin Huffine presiding. James Hopkins Bailey, "Jim Hop" age 87, of Ten Mile, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at his home. He was born December 16, 1934 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. Jim Hop played baseball as a young man. He played (1954-1959) in the minor league and broke into the big leagues at the end of his career, age 25, with the Cincinnati Reds. During his lifetime he pitched both Minor League and Major League Baseball. He pitched to his brother, Catcher, Ed Bailey. He looked forward to watching the Atlanta Braves play anytime. Lelia Sue Bearden, age 82, of Kingston, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 5, 1938 in Walker County, Georgia and met the love of her life in 1956 and they married in 1957. She was a devoted Pastors wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sue was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kingston for over 50 years, where she served the Lord faithfully at Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist School, working in the school cafeteria.
