Joseph "Joe" Harold Eckerd, 86, of Greensboro, NC returned to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Joe was born to the late Vernon and Bernice Eckerd in Marion, NC on August 15, 1937. He was a lifelong member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, an Eagle Scout, and a member of the high school marching band. Joe graduated from Marion High School in 1955 before attending North Carolina State University where he received his degree in chemical engineering in 1959.
