Don Payne, Jr. of Maryville TN died peacefully at home on April 20, 2026 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. Don was born on April 29, 1946, to Don Payne, Sr. and Lorine Humphreys Payne in Greeneville, TN. His early childhood was spent in the Cedar Creek Community of Greene County until the family moved into Greeneville. Leona May Haukaas of Coker Creek, TN, passed away on March 6, 2026. She was born June 25, 1931, daughter to Leroy and Millie (Washek) Lenhart of Underwood, MN. Leona married Olaf Haukaas in November of 1952 and within a few years started their family. They spent 39 years together making a home in St Louis Park MN, traveling, sharing adventures with their children and serving their church and community. Upon retirement they continued to travel and lived between 2 homes: one in Mission, TX and the other in Wright, MN. Bobby Lynn Freeman, born 19 Jan 1942, in Newport News, VA, passed away peacefully in Maryville, TN on April 12, 2025. Bobby graduated from Warwick High School of Newport News, VA, in 1960. When the fish quit running on the Eastern Shore of Virginia at the end of that summer, he joined the Navy. After serving one tour of duty in Hawaii, he came home to find his way. James "Eddie" Harris passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 76. Eddie graduated from Young High School and retired from Kerns Bakery when he decided to move to Blount County, TN.
