Orville Kent Reed, 88, of Palmyra, PA passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021. He was the son of Evelyn Reed and Orville Potts. He is a descendent of Jackson County Ohio pioneer Brice Reed. He grew up in Wellston, Ohio, and played baseball and football as a member of the Capital Southeastern Ohio All Star Team. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Otterbein College, where he was a football letterman and team captain. He then taught and coached football, basketball, and track at various Ohio high schools, including Lakeside, Willard, Cardington, and Clear Fork, and was named Central Ohio Coach of the Year. Sondra L. Jordan, 81, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Kadima Nursing Home, Campbelltown. She was born on November 9, 1938 in Middletown and was the loving daughter of the late Ervin and Vera (Beecher) Eby. She was a 1956 graduate of Middletown High School and worked at AMP, Inc. Sales Dept. Eisenhower, Blvd, Harrisburg, PA after graduation. She also worked with the former Olmsted Air Force Base for several years before closure. Sara Bair Miller Long, 87, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in the Middletown Home. She was the widow of Donald William Long. Sara was born in Bryansville Station, PA on July 28, 1932 to the late Charles G., Sr. and Mary W. (Miller) Bair. Sara was a member of the Church of Brethren - Huntsdale and a former Republic Committee person, District 1 for a number of years. She was a retired toll officer for the PA Turnpike, a Middletown Librarian for over 20 years and a former waitress for the former 230 Diner. Sara enjoyed sewing, quilting and blue grass music.
