Walter H. Sieverts, age 83 of Canton, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family on July 2, 2021. He was born June 15, 1938, in Circleville, Ohio to Fritz and Anne (Kohlhoff) Sieverts. Walt graduated from Circleville High School in 1956. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Capital University in 1960, where he played basketball. He then served in the Air Force Reserves until 1962 and was activated during the Berlin Crisis. John (Jack) Snavely Mosser, age 92, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was born in Canton, on April 7, 1928, and graduated from McKinley High School. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Jack graduated from Case Western Reserve with a PhD in chemical engineering. He also received an MBA from the University of Akron. He was employed by the City of Akron where he worked in the water pollution control division. Jack was a member of St. Matthew's Parish in Akron, where he sang in the choir and was also a member of the bell choir. Drucilla "Jeanne" Bodine, age 90, of Akron, reunited with loved ones in Heaven on Sunday January 19, 2020. She was born in Akron on August 15, 1928 to the late Daniel and Arlene (Price) Phillips. Jeanne met her husband while she worked at the corner drug store and he worked at the corner gas station in Akron. They had two daughters and she decided to go back to college. She earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees from University of Akron and her Doctorate from Kent State. James Robert Valentz ,85 of North Canton, passed away October 20, 2019 surrounded by his wife and family with the support of Mercy Hospice of Canton. Jim was born on April 13, 1934 to the late Paul Sr. and Amelia Valentz in Upper Mount Bethel, PA. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He retired from Brulin Chemical out of Indianapolis after 27 years of service when he was 62, and enjoyed 9 years living in Arizona before having a home in North Canton.
