Sammie Lorena Plant, 86, of San Angelo, TX, passed away on October 14, 2024 in Eden, TX. She was born in Paris, TX, to Monroe Dunnam and Geraldine Brunson on January 3, 1938. She loved Pete Plant so much she married him twice, once on June 7, 1958 and then again on January 5, 1970. Sammie is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings; Ronnie Dunnam, Lauren Curry, Gailyn Albritton and Larry Dunnam. Roy Wayne Burnes, 71, passed away in Eden, TX, on May 8, 2023. He was born September 13, 1951, to RV Burnes and Patsy Ann Mathis Burnes in Idalou, TX. He married Arzenet Torres on June 2, 2001. Roy came to Eden in 1983 by building the Eden Detention Center and bringing business and jobs to a small town. Roy was also a big part of many buildings and foundations that gave back to the people and the City of Eden for many years to come. One is; the Spirit Of Eden Foundation, which Roy created that gives grants and funding to other nonprofits to help sustain operations.
