Barbara "Barb" Ann Splinter, 88, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the family farm in Platteville, Wisconsin. Barb was born on September 15, 1935, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Edward and Catherine Ames. She married Virgil Splinter on June 22, 1957. Barb loved to read and play the piano. She was a humble, loving person who devoted her life to her family and her faith. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Even in her final month of life, her faith sustained her. She may not have realized it, but she was the glue that held the family together. She will continue to watch over all of us from heaven. Donna Lee (Lynch) Leibfried, 87, of Potosi, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville. Donna was born in Potosi on November 17, 1935, the daughter of Arthur and Ardella (Steffen) Lynch. She graduated from Potosi High School. She was united in marriage to Alfred "Al" Leibfried on July 16, 1955 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Potosi. She worked at the Dubuque Battery Factory for a while, and later she and Al started Leibfried Feed Service while farming in Potosi.
