Mary Ann Fortman, 88, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 26, 2025, with her children by her side. Mary was born on March 6, 1937 in Central City to William and Anna (Buresh) Holub. She graduated from Central City High School and went on to work at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. On September 29, 1962, she married the love of her life, Francis Fortman at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Central City. They were blessed with two children and shared 63 years together. John was a 1981 graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg High School. He then attended the University of Northern Iowa. Over the years, John worked for Seedorff Masonry, Farmer Masonry, Cummer Masonry, and Berns Masonry. After 42 years, John retired from masonry work. Francis Anthony Fortman, 86, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1938, the son of Albert and Emma (Scherbring) Fortman of Greeley. Francis was raised and educated in the Oneida area. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17 and was honorably discharged. On September 29, 1962, Francis was united in marriage to Mary Holub at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Central City. They were blessed with two children and shared 63 years together. Oscar Adelbert Holdridge, 96, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on October 18, 1929, in Delhi, the son of Donald and Willa (Wilson) Holdridge. Oscar was a 1946 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. He then joined the United States Navy serving honorably and retiring after 20 years as a Chief Warrant Officer Third Class. On May 19, 1951, Oscar was united in marriage to Betty Lou Schaffer in Yuma, Arizona. Two daughters, Joy and Leanne, were born to this union.
