Ann Lamiell Landy passed away on October 9th, 2022, in Cary, North Carolina, at the age of 80. She was surrounded by her children. Ann was born on April 14, 1942, in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Rita Jacobs Lamiell and Thomas Lamiell. She was the eldest of seven sisters and one brother and spent most of her childhood in Canton, Ohio, where she developed a love for education. After earning her undergraduate degree in Childhood Education from Mary Manse College, Ann earned a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at Bowling Green State University, where she met and fell in love with Francis (Frank) Landy.
