Isabel was born February 27, 1933 in Cebu, Philippines to Luis and Irinea Alvarez. While visiting a sister in Madrid, Spain she met James F. Beyer, who was serving with the US Air Force. James was totally smitten with Isabel and they married December 17, 1959. They resided in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where they raised two children (Liz and Greg).
