Hilda Gaynor, our amazing mom, grandma and great-grandma, passed away November 30, 2023 at age 98. What a great, active life this woman lived. Born into a baseball family to parents Ethel and Emery Rauschenberg, she often lamented that athletics were not an option for girls back at Doylestown High in the early 1940s, so she chose the cheerleader/majorette route then pursued her own sports, bowling and golfing, after she graduated. She had the great fortune to do both, very well, for over 55 years - enjoying the sisterhood, the fierce competition, the trips and the cocktails that came with them. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert W Chin and half brother Benjamin Lee. Jennie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert A Chin and Andrea Appel, her "step-granddaughter" Joey Davis, and very close long time friends Elaine and Chuck Twigg. Nancy Hornyak, 88, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on November 24, 2023. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, where she became head majorette at St. Vincent during her high school years. She would go on to get married and have six children. She also worked toward a distinguished career with Meridia Health Care Systems, becoming Vice President of Information Services, which was unprecedented for her generation. John L. David Nesbitt 85 passed away November 6, 2023. He is survived by his wife Henrietta of 63 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Carolyn Nesbitt, Eileen Ingram and Valarie Nesbitt, grandchildren Jerard Ingram, Chanell (Ogarth) Thompson and Lillian Ingram, great granddaughters Sarae'Ya Sammons, Jaiyde and Janiya Thompson and a host of other family members. William L. (Bill) Rutan passed away on Friday September 1 at age 92. He was born on April 11, 1931 in Akron Ohio and graduated from East High School in 1949. Bill was always helping others, including his mother and sister after his father passed away when he was 12. After hiring in at Goodyear Tire at 19, Bill was drafted into the Army and served in combat on the front lines in Korea with the 3rd Division 7th Infantry heavy weapons machine gun section. On returning from Korea, Bill married Janet Woolcock. They were married for 56 years until Jan's death in 2012. Together they raised 3 children, Pamela, David and John in Tallmadge. Michael Albert Fraley, born June 29, 1970, passed away peacefully on Friday July 14 2023, surrounded by family, after a brief illness.
