Robert Mack Cornett, Sr. of Tampa, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 22, 2023. He was a devoted husband, a father, grandfather and loyal friend. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda; three children, Laurie Watts, Rob Cornett and Cher Crum; four grandchildren, Brittney Benoit Crespo, Zachary Watts, Nicholas Watts and Derek Crum; and Great Grandchildren, Olivia and Christian Crespo, brother Ben Cornett (Lynn) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Libby Jester (Charles) of Tampa, FL and many nieces and nephews. Together they had three children, Harmon "Cal" Copeland Callen III, Leslie Lois Callen Edwards, and Kris Sanchez Callen. Widowed young, she raised her children alone and instilled in them, a deep love for the Lord. She studied to become a teacher and went on to teach outdoor education and wilderness survival skills at Nature's Classroom for 28 years. Mark was born in Los Angeles California on April 20, 1949 and passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2020 at his home in Tampa, Florida. Mark attended Wheeling High School in Illinois where he played varsity football, basketball and baseball. But baseball was his love. He attended Southern Illinois University on scholarship playing 2nd base and pitching, eventually also coaching the team. While at SIU, he played on and coached baseball teams that went to the college baseball world series and also obtained his law degree in 1978.
