Nancy Fant Smith died in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on January 20, 2024, her 87th birthday, of natural causes. She is survived by her five children, Margaret Sage Smith Hoare (Geoffrey), Orma Rinehart Smith, III (Terre), Lester Glenn Fant Smith (Collier), Nancy Smith Tisue (Troy) and Catherine Smith Teasley (John), as well as 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
