Jackie "Big Jack" Lee Bertolino, Sr., 68, of High Island, died Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was born September 11, 1956, in Galveston, to Helen "Tiny" Canada and Salvador "Sonny" Bertolino. Survivors include his wife, Donna Dailey Bertolino; and children, Heather Dailey Deiss and Jackie Lee Bertolino, Jr. A gathering of Mr. Bertolino's family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His interment will follow at High Island Cemetery, High Island.

Juanita B. Kahla was born in Smith County, Texas on November 10, 1934, to Louis and Gertrude Bruce. She died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, and entered eternal rest on October 17, 2023. She attended Anahuac High School and graduated in 1952. She retired from the Chambers County Extension Office where she was employed for twenty-five years.
