Sherry Ruth Beasley Rountree, age 70, widow of Don Rountree, departed Earth to join her husband on Monday, October 17, 2022. Sherry is survived by her beloved sons, Don Rountree II, and his wife Jannell of Windsor, and Dustin "Dusty" Rountree, Aulander; and grandson, Allen; sister, Maria Dixon, and her husband Robert "Buzz" of California; nephew, Josh Dixon, nieces, Jessica Elkstrom and her husband Jason, and Stephanie Dixon, all of California. She worked at many jobs in her lifetime but the only job she ever wanted or cared about was being a wife and mother. She was active in church activities and was a hospice volunteer for fifteen years. Linda Rhodes Anderson, age 75, of Scotland Neck, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro. Linda was born on February 2, 1947 to Maude and Pauline Rhodes in Georgia. She was married to Walter Anderson for thirty-five years and was a member of Dawson Baptist Church. Linda loved her friends and family and enjoyed reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her father, Maude Rhodes; her mother, Pauline Bissette Rhodes; her sisters, Joan Joynes and Patricia Bray; and her brother, Jimmy Rhodes. Richard Michael Fisher, age 78, passed away unexpectedly Thursday March 24th at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C. as a result of complications from an emergency surgery performed the previous day. Richard was born in Newton, Massachusetts and attended school in Maine and New Hampshire. He led an active life in his younger years. He enjoyed skiing and being outdoors. He had an experience drag racing on the beach in Florida with the singer, Duane Eddy. He was employed as a truck driver as well as a professional safe cracker later in his life.
