Henry "Hank" Edward Arend Jr., resident of Boise, ID., was born on May 21, 1948, in Chicago, IL. to Regina (Jean) Tushkowski Arend and Henry (Hank) E. Arend Sr. He graduated from St. Vincent High School (Petaluma, CA.) in 1966 and completed some college after joining the Seabees (construction battalion of the U.S. Navy). He was a Vietnam veteran who honorably served in Vietnam and in Antarctica for Operation "Deep Freeze". Hank married Joyce Marano in November of 1972 in San Francisco, CA. and had his son, Josh.
