Mrs. Debbie Long, 69, of Point Venture, Texas passed away on November 16, 2024, at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. Debbie was born in Victoria, Texas on November 30, 1954 to Gene Selby and Mary King Selby. After Debbie graduated from Victoria High School, she went to the University of Texas at Austin to study elementary education, receiving her bachelor's degree in 1976. She later attended the University of Houston-Victoria where she earned her Master's degree in Education Administration and Supervision. Jim Whitten passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 89 in Austin, Texas. He was born in Lufkin, Texas to Lirres Franklin Whitten and Doode Idamae Whitten. He graduated from Lufkin High School (class of 1952), and he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Scouts BSA program. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1956. Throughout his life he worked in the home building industry and the roof consulting business. William Troy Danysh, affectionally known as "Willie" peacefully departed this world on July 19, 2022, surrounded by those he loved. Willie was born on January 20, 1974 in Cuero, Texas. He attended, Calhoun High School then went on to work in the oilfield, where he delighted in the camaraderie he found there. The rest of his work career was with G&W Engineering, where he proudly worked with his dad. He is remembered as a man, who never met a stranger, his sweet disposition and friendly demeanor made him approachable to anyone, and with his big generous heart he would offer them the shirt off his back.
