Carol was born September 5, 1937 in McAllen, Texas to James Noble and Juanita (Martin)Noble. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. She attended Southwest Texas State University where she earned her B.S. and master's degree in education. She married Ronnie Gene Gassiot on July 30, 1960, in San Antonio. They resided there from 1960 to 1994, where she was a school counselor for 33 years at Fox Tech High School and Eisenhower Middle School.
