Herman L. Kast, age 82, of Coleman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023. A memorial service for Herman is currently pending. Cremation is under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Herman was born on January 19, 1941 in Blanco to Chester and Connie (York) Kast. After graduating from high school, Herman attended Texas State University where he graduated with a Masters degree. Herman married the love of his life, Barbara Kast, on June 17, 1961 in Johnson City. He worked for the Bureau of Land Management under the Department of Interior until he retired in January of 1996.
