Robert "Bob" Hugh Broughton passed away on October 27, 2023. He was born on August 11, 1928, in Merriam, Kansas to Hugh and "Betty" Broughton. Bob moved to Pasadena, Texas when he was a teenager. He soon enlisted in the United States Marines and served in WW2 and the Korean conflict. During this time, he met his life-long love, Ruth Bezdek Broughton. They married in 1948 and had 2 children, Jim and Terri. After his service in the Marines ended, Bob began his career at Petro-Tex Chemical. He worked in the laboratory there for many years and later as the Director of Transportation until his retirement. Donella Ruth Wooldridge passed away on August 18, 2023 in Bastrop, Texas at the age of 90 years. She was born in Newport, Texas on February 9, 1933 and moved to La Porte with her family at the age of 10. Donella graduated from La Porte High School in May of 1951. On December 28, 1951, she married Tom Lynn Wooldridge of Fairfield, Texas, at the First Baptist Church in La Porte, Texas. They attended the church in which they married at the time of Tom's death in 2010, and Donella attended until moving to Bastrop in 2020.
