Alma Nora was born in McAllen, Texas on December 5, 1945, to Aaron and Elma Sandoval. She graduated from McAllen High School and received her Bachelors of Education Degree from UT Pan American University. She later returned to earn her Master's Degree from the University of Houston. After meeting and marrying the love of her life, Arturo R Ibarra on November 28, 1968. This union was blessed with two sons, Michael and Daniel Ibarra. Nora, begin her career in elementary education in 1968. She earned a bilingual / ESL certification 1977 then continued as a Peer Facilitator until she retired from teaching in 2009. Robert Franklin Harris, Jr, 71, died of COVID-19 in The Woodlands, Texas, on February 5, 2021. Robert, the son of Bob and Dorothy Harris, grew up and lived most of his life in Pasadena, Texas, although the family spent their summers at a cabin in Wimberley, Texas, to avoid the polio epidemic in the Houston area.
