Mary Medina 97, long time resident of Taos passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022 at the Brookdale Santa Fe -Assisted Living Community. Mary grew up in Penasco as one of twelve children born to Serapio and Bertha Duran. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Medina who passed away in 1993, her parents, Serapio and Bertha Duran, brothers, Lalo, James, Louie and Serapio Jr. (Tony) Duran; sisters, Viola Barela, Josie Martinez and Rosie Tollardo. Was born on May 13, 1939 in Llano Quemado, Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico in the home of his maternal grandparents, Maximiano and Celina Graham Romero, to Gaspar O. and Vivian Romero Naranjo. His paternal grandparents were Reyes and Maria Encarnacion Naranjo, of Chimayo. He died on December 22, 2021 in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the age of 82. Gregorio was born on August 22, 1983 and was raised and continued to reside in Penasco up until his death. He attended the Penasco Independent Schools and graduated from Penasco High School in May of 2002. Greg enjoyed the outdoors; he loved camping and spending time in the mountains.
