Irene Deloris Greenfield James, 88, of Canyon, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023. There will be no public services. Even at 88 and battling leukemia, Irene was still spry and wiry. On the date that Irene died, family member Charlene was with her. Years earlier on the same date, Irene sat with Charlene as her husband was dying. Irene was born on July 5, 1935 in Amarillo to Cecil and Henrietta (Barett) Greenfield. She was raised in Happy and graduated from Happy High School in 1953.
