Sonja Thorsen departed this life on November 11, 2014 at the age of 79. She was born in Waukon, Iowa on December 8, 1944 to the late Theordore and Betty Olson Thorsen. Ms. Thorsen graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1964. She then attended the University of Memphis and ultimately graduated with a master's degree in Nursing. She worked at Baptist Hospital as a nurse for 51 years before retiring on December 30, 2014. Ms. Thorsen was a lifelong member at Lindenwood Christian Church where she served as a deacon.
