Richard was born on July 15, 1936, the youngest of six children and the beloved son of Alfred Bernell and Zella Elvina Scott Sturgis in Provo, Utah. He was predeceased by his parents, AB and Zella Sturgis, and his siblings, Margaret, LaJean, Nelma Rae, Marilyn and Alfred. Sidney Layne Jensen, known fondly as Sid, was born in Richmond, Utah on August 22, 1946. He returned to heaven on June 3, 2024, having spent a remarkable 77 years shaping and touching the lives of those around him.
