Judith A. Barnes. age 83 of Hinsdale, N.H. died Friday September 22, 2023 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, Brattleboro, Vt. She was born in Brattleboro, Vt. on July 1, 1940 the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Ebenhausen) Lucier. Judy grew up in Hinsdale, N.H. and was a 1958 graduate of Hinsdale High School. On January 30, 1965 she married the love of her life Richard Barnes, who predeceased her in 2018, after 53 years of marriage. Early in life she worked at the former Stretch and Sew in Brattleboro, before moving on to work at the former Cheshire National Bank in Hinsdale which transitioned into Citizens Bank where she continued to work in Keene, N.H before retiring in 1997. Kristine C. Zavorotny, 79, died peacefully in her home in Hinsdale, NH after a period of failing health. She was born on October 31, 1943 in Claremont, NH and attended Hinsdale schools. On April 7, 1962 she married Alan Zavorotny, her high school sweetheart and they've been happily married for 61 years. Kristine worked at Peerless Insurance, Winchester Elementary School, Hinsdale High School, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, Brattleboro Savings and Loan, TD Bank and she retired from Cheshire Medical Center. After the long process of alzheimer's dementia and an aggressive and rare cancer, Anna (Annie) Shold Boemig has passed. She was born in Storm Lake, Iowa on January 14, 1947 to Nel Mae (Furlow) and Clifford Oliver Shold. She always called herself an Iowa farm girl, even after decades of living in Vermont. Annie always felt blessed to have survived Polio and childhood cancer from which she lost her eye. She decided to become a nurse while reading books in a crab apple tree on her family's farm in Albert City, Iowa. Timothy B. Hill, 72, died on July 9, 2022. He was born in Keene on January 14, 1950, the son of Daniel and Lucille (Boodey) Hill, and was a lifelong resident of Ashuelot. He had a gift for storytelling, capturing quintessential New England farm life in his tales of growing up and raising a family on Cat Den Mountain Farm. His home and camp in Nash Stream Forest were always open for family and friends, especially those going through a rough patch.
