Richard Edwin "Dick" Reed Richard Edwin ("Dick") Reed passed away on April 13, 2025, in Lynchburg, Virginia, at the age of 82. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on May 23, 1942, Dick grew up in Weirton, WV, and lived a full life surrounded by family, friends, and plenty of good memories. Dick proudly served in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960s, showing his dedication to his country early on. Joseph Carl Knakal, Jr., passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at his much-loved home in Amherst County, Virginia. Joe was born on May 5, 1935, in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of Joseph Carl and Christine Valchar Knakal, both of whose families had emigrated in the early 1900s from Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic) to the Richmond area.
