Brenda Ann (Sturgeon) Powell, age 74, of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her home in Chadds Ford, PA. She was the spouse of the late Wilmer Powell, with whom she shared 26 years of marriage. Brenda was born in Elkton, MD, and was the daughter of the late Creston "Scott" Sturgeon and the late Ann Pyle Sturgeon. Brenda retired in 2005 after 25 years as Vice President of Wilmington Trust Company. She also served on the board of Delaware's Arthritis Foundation.
