Moses Hall James passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2024. He was the leader of a big, blended family, and an excellent example of a funny, loving community member. He is deeply missed already. Born on Galveston Island on July 14, 1948, he is the son of Shufford "Shep" Day Parr, Sr., and Leola Kemp. Both of his parents preceded him in death. Moses graduated from Central High School in 1966 and attended Galveston College to earn his LVN. He spent 30 years working as a psychiatric nurse for UTMB, caring for the mentally ill in the area and constantly continuing his education.
