Phyllis Slobodkin Cove died peacefully at home on October 31 in Amherst, MA, surrounded by loved ones. She was 82. Phyllis was born March 30, 1942, in Lynn, Massachusetts, where she lived with her parents, David and Charlotte Slobodkin, her brother Sidney, and maternal grandmother. She attended Simmons College, then Boston University, where she earned a BA in mathematics before marrying Peter Cove. Phyllis built a career in software development, and was often the only woman on her team. During these years Phyllis gave birth to her children Louis, Amanda, and David.
