Vincent Donarumo, 99, of Wallingford passed away on Thursday December 9th. He was the husband of the late Antoinette Anastasio Donarumo. Vincent was born on Wooster Street on October 19, 1922, to the late Catello and Madeline Camera Donarumo. Vincent was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. Upon discharge, he attended the Culinary Institute of America on the G.I. Bill where he obtained a degree. Vincent worked for many years at Choate/Rosemary Hall in Wallingford where he and Antoinette raised their family. New Haven Firefighter Ricardo Torres, Jr. died a hero on May 12, 2021 while responding to a fire on Valley Street in New Haven. He was a loving husband to Erica Martinez, a loving and caring father to their sons Oliver Torres and Crew Torres, who is to be born in August. Ricardo was born in New Haven on November 11, 1990, the son of Cathy Foster-Mendez and the late Ricardo Torres. He followed his passion of becoming a firefighter as a member of Recruit Class 62. He joined the New Haven Fire Department in July 2019 and was assigned to Engine 6, Third Division. It was here that he experienced and enjoyed the camaraderie of his second family and realizing his dream since he was two years old....

On February 11, 2021, Robert J. "Bobby" Aldieri of Southington, CT passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Bobby was born on April 3,1936 in Bristol, CT, son of Charlie & Antionette Aldieri. He served in the United States Army from1955-1957; and was a proud member of the Southington Fire Department, where he served for over 32 years before retiring in 2000 as Captain/Fire Marshall.
