James Patrick Turner passed away peacefully on October 10, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in Mystic from cancer. James was born in New Haven, the son of the late Mary Eileen and Allan J. Turner. Jammer, as James was affectionately known, was a former lifelong resident of West Haven residing on Platt Avenue. Jammer's passion was enjoying a cruise on his Harley Davidson and taking in the summer breezes along the West Shore beaches. Jammer was a 44-year conductor with the Amtrak National Railroad Passenger Corporation and could always be seen as a fixture on the Boston and New York rail lines. Negaro and Josephine Stango Negaro. She attended Bunker Hill Grammar School and graduated with high honors. She attended Notre Dame Academy and graduated from the University of Bridgeport. Vincent Donarumo, 99, of Wallingford passed away on Thursday December 9th. He was the husband of the late Antoinette Anastasio Donarumo. Vincent was born on Wooster Street on October 19, 1922, to the late Catello and Madeline Camera Donarumo. Vincent was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. Upon discharge, he attended the Culinary Institute of America on the G.I. Bill where he obtained a degree. New Haven Firefighter Ricardo Torres, Jr. died a hero on May 12, 2021 while responding to a fire on Valley Street in New Haven. He was a loving husband to Erica Martinez, a loving and caring father to their sons Oliver Torres and Crew Torres, who is to be born in August. Ricardo was born in New Haven on November 11, 1990, the son of Cathy Foster-Mendez and the late Ricardo Torres. He followed his passion of becoming a firefighter as a member of Recruit Class 62.
