Giulio Gagliardi, 78, of East Haven died peacefully at home on June 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Michelina D'Albenzio Gagliardi. Giulio was born in Messercola, Province of Caserta, Italy on October 28, 1945 a son of the late Vincenzo and Anna Iannazzo Gagliardi. After coming to the United States, Giulio began work at the HB Ives Co. In 1987 he opened Giulio's Pizza and Restaurant on Middletown Avenue in North Haven. Born in Ellwood City, PA on December 5, 1925, a daughter of the late Dominic and Marie Conti Calabro, Angeline was an original "Rosie the Riveter", working as an inspector of bomb casing at Jones and Laughlin Steel during WWII. He was a loving husband to Erica Martinez, a loving and caring father to their sons Oliver Torres and Crew Torres, who is to be born in August.
