Gary Lane Anderson passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024, during a nap in his favorite chair in his apartment in Ogallala, Nebraska. He was just six weeks shy of his 90th birthday. Gary was well known for his passion for discovery, learning, and ultimately achieving levels of excellence in all endeavors. He loved the lake life, boating, scuba diving, but also mastered snow skiing, target shooting, billiards, ham radio operation, photography, and photo processing, spearfishing, all of which he also taught and encouraged his children to pursue. Orville Dean Thompson Jr. known as Dean peacefully entered his heavenly home on April 27, 2024, from Indian Hills Manor, Ogallala, NE, where he had been tenderly cared for since October, 2023, when he could no longer live on his beloved ranch of 77 years. Dean was born on February 15, 1926, to Orville Dean Thompson and Lena F. (Kruger) Thompson and came home to their ranch in McPherson County, joining his older sister Evelyn. Karen was born on December 25, 1954, in Newcastle, PA, the daughter of Arthur Alexander and Pauline (Conti) Ezzo. She graduated from Neshannock High School in 1972 and subsequently earned a certificate from New Castle Beauty School in 1973.
