Gerald "Gerry" Bosshardt, 75, passed away on June 30, 2023, in The Villages, Fla., after a courageous battle with Lewy Body disease. To all that knew him, Gerry was a kind, thoughtful man, who was generous with his time, love and knowledge. Born in Austin, Minn., Gerry grew up on his family farm outside of Fairbaugh, Minn., with his parents Merle and Flora and brother Tom. James Charles Hill of The Villages, Florida passed away peacefully at The Villages Hospital surrounded by his family on the afternoon of June 23, 2023, following a brief illness. He was 85. Jim was born in Peru, Illinois, where he grew up in a family of seven and attended St. Bede Academy. After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with an accounting degree, Jim moved to Chicago and worked as a Certified Public Accountant and auditor for various companies, including Brunswick, Nestl? and, lastly, Metra, Chicago's commuter rail system, before his retirement. Linda Sue "Tilley" Harris passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2nd Tilley was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 15, 1959, to Dorris and Larry Lamping. She was raised in Beech Grove, Indiana where she attended Holy Name grade school and Roncalli High school. Tilley was active in numerous activities, but perhaps her favorite was band, where she was a member of the rifle corps drill team that went all the way to the state finals. Tilley was a gifted athlete, she enjoyed swimming, softball, kickball, water skiing, ice skating, and roller skating (plus many more). He was born July 20, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA, to Charles Wilbank French and Sarah Elizabeth (Nennich) French. He was the youngest of 4 siblings and was predeceased by them all, his sister Sarah (Walter) Kistler and brothers Charles (Jane) Wilbank French, Jr. and Henry Thomas (Patricia) French. He enjoyed a wonderful childhood in Lansdowne, PA where he was a noted athlete and feared on the football field. Our community sadly lost a dear friend, Ms. Cherie Stubbs passed in the caring hands of Cornerstone Hospice back on May 15, 2023 after a year long battle with cancer. Cherie was a kind, caring, loving soul. Whether you were sharing a glass of wine over a meal or the joy of a simple sweet card in the mail, she was a fiercely loyal friend to many. Cherie moved to the villages in 1998 from San Diego, California to aid with the care of her mother Jane Stubbs. They would then spend the next 13 years together blessed.
